I love this quote by Winnie the Pooh – it is so sweet! I think everyone wishes they had their own imaginary friend to tell them these things, but it is worth the time to start to tell yourself these things and replace all of the negative self talk (which doesn’t help you in any way) with positive kind talk. Life can be very hard sometimes, and if you are able to be self-soothing and have a positive internal monologue with yourself, you are on the right path!
The reason Winnie the Pooh is so popular is that he always has a simple explanation for everything and enjoys doing his own thing. He goes through life being so happy all of the time with his friends only ever wanting honey, and is never bothered by other people being mean to him or jumping to conclusions.
I think everyone kind of resonates with Pooh’s character because they’d all like to be a little bit more like him themselves! So then next time you find yourself a little down remember what Pooh would say – You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart. I’ll always be with you. Say this to yourself and understand that the most important thing is that you are you and you will be able to deal with anything that comes in this life.
Don’t let yourself say negative things to yourself! It is harmful and mostly untrue, it is so much better to structure your self-talk into something that helps you rather than hinders you!
